Helping people is very honorable. However, make sure that the organizations that receive your donations aren't fraudulent. A quick search today revealed to me that SFTS appears to be a fraudulent organization. I'll do more research and suggest everyone do their own as well, but at this point in my search, it appears that there is at least some fraud with this organization. Stay safe & don't get defrauded.

Peoria, Arizona and I discovered this organization while I was walking up to my local Barnes and Nobel. I teared up as I was talking to the representative standing at the table. As a former educator I did my best to prevent bullying. It is so hard when parents themselves are bullies or lack mannerism. It’s just a awful persona and behavior passed down from generation to generation. It’s also extremely difficult when fellow staff members are bully themselves or prioritize testing and looking like a great school due to math, science and educational statistics. Education can not be full accomplished for children until they feel they are within a scared and safe space. Arizona fails to create those educational environments. Kirk, thank you for showing up in your authentic self. Sharing your inner wisdom. Being unfiltered and showing the truth.

I often wonder why being born in a sod house, or living in a sod house is considered to be poor. There are much worse materials with which to construct a home, and we use most of them now. It is a reflection on what the people in the US have been fed in regard to the idea of "The American Story" or the "American Dream". Which is also a reflection on how the US, and then the rest of the world, erases the rest of the countries and territories within America. Witness this in policies towards those in the Southern American Hemisphere. I, however my thoughts, do respect this man, and his work. It is too bad that we lack his influence, now. I also wonder what his thoughts would be on what actually occurred in the Obama years- how our hopes had been erased, and then the even worse trump debacle.

this is a good message and all but he came to my school and I was still bullied mercilessly through out middle school and jr.high, the irony is that the same kids who cried over this story, and proudly wore those blue bracelets, still thought it was okay to bully me constantly and made my already existing depression so bad to the point where I tried to kill my self :/. It’s just ironic to me that they would feel empathy for these kids who were bullied to the point of suicide, yet do the same to me, because they thought I was “weird” because I had ADHD. Some of them even found out about my attempt and spread gossip about it around the school as well. Even reporting to the principal can only do so much, they always told me that they can’t punish them unless they got violent with me and that “gossip and rumors aren’t punishable” even though it would destroy my self esteem and cause me to have absolutely no friends and feel like an outcast, even when they barely punished them, they wouldn’t stop, and neither would the exclusion and isolation they subjected me too, which is the real horrible part since I was so alone, People suck.
